The Asus laptop that Imee left us was low powered for Windows so I immediately planned to use a linux distro for it. I installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on it not really thinking about it. Well it installed alright but it was slow. It starts slow and most applications starts slow. Ubuntu requires a 64 bit processor and at least 4 GB of RAM. This machine only has 2 GB of RAM. I need an desktop environment that can work in less than 4 GB of RAM. I figured XFCE would be great with it.
I installed Debian with XFCE today. It went very well.
