Reply To The One Who Wished Me An Unhappy Birthday

I'm sorry you wished me a rainy day today You wished me an unhappy birthday You said I am evil and that I should die now I'm sorry you feel that way about me. You called to wish me an unhappy birthday I searched my head why? of all days, You called to wish me an unhappy birthday I am hurt beyond words, I don't know what to say. I liked you but I didn't dance with you You said I lied Strange but I liked you. You called to wish me an unhappy birthday Strange but I listened 'til I cried The tears come to kiss me. (This poem was inspired by the song Unhappy Birthday by The Smiths) -- Use my PGP key if you want to encrypt your replies/messages to me. Somebody Else's Total Eclipse

Europe was watching the sun get blocked by the earth's moon yesterday. I watched the video clip from the BBC. I faintly remember experiencing a solar eclipse when I was a child in the 70s. I live in Southeast Asia. It was weird and awe inspiring because my science teacher had explained everything to us about planetary motion, light and shadow, before hand. I would later in my high school classes learn about geomety and algebra and the mathematical equations that govern physics and motion. It doesn't lessen the awesome power and wonder whenever the heavens show its intricate presence.  It's 2015 and we have sent machines to land on the moon and the planets. We still have to stand on the surface of another planet. How can we not want that? How do we stay still while so much lay undiscovered? We will always ask questions. We will want answers. Someday we will all conclude that the answers can only come if we go. When I go out into the woods, I carry my old boys scout com

PLDTHome's Ultera: Bad Execution of A Good Idea

LTE technology is a promising wireless broadband. Most western countries have their own versions or implementations. I just began using PLDTHome's Ultera today. Right off the bat I know there's going to be a problem. While PLDT did not invent 'caps' or usage limits, their execution smells like a scam. I'm a canopy user and they finally migrated me to Ultera, an LTE product. My canopy speed is 1.5Mbps and no caps. Ultera began last year without any caps, then moved to 30% slower speed after reaching usage limits, now they openly proclaim they are throwing their subscribers back to the stone age with 256Kbps. My house is next door to SMART's base tower. I didn't have problems with my canopy account. It's stable signal and 15ms PING makes up for the slow speed (1.5Mbps). It doesn't have usage limits. I've been using it since 2005. SMARTbro subscribers were handed off to PLDTHome. PLDTHome decided to migrate canopy users to ULTEra. I
